How do you check for updates for Lightroom. I have a stand alone version of 6.2.1. When I go to the help tab and click updates, it wants me to sign in to the CC. I don't want to join the CC.
Also, I hate the new import interface. It makes assumptions about what you want to import. I have to go through several steps just to import one photo from my desktop. I had no problems with the old one. Why was changed? I am hoping Adobe comes to their senses and and makes the import interface simple again.
Updates are available on-line so that is the reason it is asking to sign in .
No need to go for any creative cloud plan(if you do not want that) but you can surely download updates from there.
LR 6 wants you to sign in to check your license, not join CC. You have the latest version so far, and you are checking for updates correctly. You can also look at the announcement area on this forum to see what the latest version of LR is. You can turn off the new Add Photos panel in LR / Prefs / General.
Thank you for your response. I found the way to turn-off the add photos interface. Thanks again.
