I have been pulling my hair out all morning as I try to create a 2016 calendar using an Indesign template from MagCloud.
Essentially, my problem is that every time I try and place an image file into the first page of the calendar (which is the cover), it gets placed in a vertical orientation - it should be horizontal like every other page in the design. If I try and rotate the frame the layer(?) underneath does not follow suite.
I'm obviously a beginner, so I hope someone can help!.
See those little symbols beside the pages - that means the pages are rotated.
You can right click on them and choose to clear the page rotation.
What's happening is that you're working on a layout that's rotated by 90 degrees, so when you place an image it's placing it upright, you have to rotate that image by 90 degrees.
Or if you replace the image, then make sure you double click into the image and this selects the graphic, then choose rotate from there.
Thank-you Eugene. That fixed the issue.
