Until today (including earlier today) I have been able to open a TIFF file in ACR by going to ACR preferences and selecting 'open TIFFs with settings' and then when I want to go back to opening the TIFF file CS6 by selecting 'disable TIFF support' in ACR preferences. Now no matter what I do I cannot stop the TIFF file opening in ACR. I have 'disabled TIFF support' as mentioned above and also right clicked the affected images and selected 'develop settings / clear settings' which removed the ACR sliders icon but all to no avail. Can anybody advise how I resolve this please.
Odd. Nuking the settings using the "clear settings" command should let you open the TIFF directly into Photoshop especially if you disabled it in Camera Raw's preferences.
Is it just this one TIFF file? Have you tried others?
Thanks. It affects all TIFFs which have been opened in ACR but not those which have only been opened in CS6.
I have been 'experimenting' since I posted my problem.........if I create an entirely new TIFF from a RAW original, everything works normally. Perhaps somehow the affected files have been corrupted and I will have to go back to the original RAW files and start again. the same way.
