Yes the rest of my Adobe CC is working fine. I understand the problem using Google products in China. But I am a travel photographer and greatly miss the ability to use the Map Module in LR. I have lloked at 3rd party software such as digiKam and Darkroom that do use Openstreetmap for the same function, but would like to rather use the building functionality of LR Map Module. If there is any way to direct LR to use another map service such as Openstreetmap it would be greatly beneficial.
If not, can you suggest what other solution I can follow to still geotag my photos. My current photo formats are: jpg, dng, cr2 and tiff. I also have the "store metadata in XMP sidecar" activated. If there is a way to tag these photos safely without disturbing the LR Catalog system I would like to try it.
I have this same problem. I want to sync GPX data from a sports watch with my photos in Lightroom and the data is a few hundred metres off. Garmin/Strava used to have this problem before they enabled switching to OpenStreetMaps or Baidu maps. Is this being considered by Adobe?
