After update, cannot import, need to restart many times per hour, slow, unresponsive

After updating to version 6, Lightroom has become a MIND BOGGLINGLY TERRIBLE piece of software. I have NEVER in my life used an application this HORRENDOUS. It crashes or hangs at nearly every use. I have not quit normally once. The import dialog takes ages to open and then after checking photos, does not respond to clicking the button. The program uses 100% of CPU doing nothing ( I had to stop both face recognition and address lookup and it still does not work). It is garbage. Creative Cloud requires re-entering my password almost daily. Lightroom Mobile does not even allow me to login and when I try responds at a rate of 1 new character a minute.

It is even worse that there is no real support and I have to resort to crappy forums and your facebook page.

And that attitude is supposed to encourage us to help you, is it?

            Hi,

Please let me know if you have already tried below mentioned steps to resolve this issue.

Go to the preferences of the Lightroom and under the general tab please un check the option which says "Show Add Photo screen"

In the performance tab uncheck the option which says"Use Gpu Processor"

            Thanks

Yes, I have already tried those steps, it did not fix the problem. I did not really expect help on the forum, since there is no help to be given. The problem is not my setup or configuration (even GPU is not really the problem), the problem is releasing buggy, poorly-tested software

And in case this additional jewel is relevant, Lightroom also produces GIGABYTES of log files in ~/Library/Logs with useful names like PDApp 11-10-2015 11-32-41.log and almost as useful contents like

This is absolutely ABSURD, under no circumstances should my computer be making a log file larger than about 100kb, let alone filling up my hard-drive which such nonsense
