I’m curious, what have others experienced using CSS “!important” overrides in ebook CSS stylesheets?
Here’s why I’m curious:
I want to maintain only one CSS stylesheet for styling the same HTML both on websites and inside ebooks. Some website themes require certain “!important” overrides in the style definitions, which isn’t best practice, but it’s what I’m working with.
Let me emphasize that the “!important” overrides are not even needed for ebook content styling, but only for website content styling. I prefer to maintain one stylesheet for both uses, but not at the expense of damaging the reader experience in ebooks.
