    Stopped importing. Why?

    BigDingus

My Lightroom has been importing for a while without any issues.

Now when I try to import, it says that I have already imported them, and if I try to find them in my catalog there's nothing there.

It also doesn't see any files in my drive folder location.

I've tried making another folder and copying my photos there. Still no luck.

      Any ideas guys.

          Hi BigDingus,

May I have the following information for better assistance:

          • Lightroom Version
          • Operating system type(Mac or Windows)

          Regards

          Sarika

When Lightroom tells you this, it is because (exactly what it says), you have already imported the photos. There is no need to import them again.

You need to click on "All Photographs" on the left hand side of the Library Module, and then using the filter bar, search for one of the files by file name. Once you find the file, you can perform editing or any other task on it. See the screen capture below

              Thanks for replying.

Sarsaxen I have Windows 7 and 2015.2.1 I think. Couldn't find anything else.

dj_paige I had already tried this search, but nothing was found.

Can you please try the following steps:

                Solution 1:

                • Go to Edit> Preferences(Windows)
                • Click on the General tab
                • Uncheck “Show ‘Add Photos’ Screen” and Restart Lightroom

                Solution 2:

                • Go to Edit> Preferences(Windows)
                • Click on the Performance
                • Uncheck “Use Graphic Processor” and Restart Lightroom

                Solution 3:

Reset Lightroom preferences by holding the shift+alt (Windows) while launching Lightroom.

dj_paige I had already tried this search, but nothing was found.

Show me a screen capture of this search

                    I think I've fixed this.

dj I did as you suggested. I also deleted the photos from my drive, then deleted the catalog, then recovered my last catalog backup, then imported the photos again.

                    Now working.

                    Thanks for your help
