I am working on the latest InDesign CC 2015 version and it hangs/freezes on start up whenever I try and open a document or start a new one. It only does this when I when I try working from home instead of the office, so I believe it to be a network issue? I tried deleting the SING files mentioned in the thread from https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/hang-freeze-open-create-file.html.
I don't have any issues with Illustrator or Photoshop. I can't find my Indesign preference folder to try deleting those. It's not with the other Adobe app folders. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Indesign several times. Please help!
Try editing the preferences and set the number of recent files to display to 0.
How do I edit the preferences? I can't find the preferences folder for Indesign
You have to open InDesign, then go to the InDesign Menu (I'm presuming this is a Mac -- if not, give us the OS). The recent list is in the File Handling section...
