The old import window will be back in the next dot release of Lightroom (Link: Lightroom 6.2 Import Update) and for shortcut issue, you need to try and reset the Lightroom Preferences.
Mac: press the shift + option keys immediately after you restart Lightroom, and select Reset Preferences from the resulting dialog box.
Windows: press the shift + alt keys. In the resulting Reset Preferences dialog box, indicate you want to reset your preferences.
Let us know if that helps.
Nope, resetting the preferences did not do it.
The shortcut G for entering Grid mode in Library module still does not respond. It works fine when I press G in other modules, e.g. the Develop module.
I am curious to know what you see in the Library module?
Do you see thumbnails or a single image 'Loupe' view?
A number of others have encountered this problem -- please add your vote and details to this bug report in the official Adobe feedback forum: Lightroom: Keyboard shortcut 'G' not working in the Library module.
A couple of others have reported that rebooting the computer immediately after resetting the preferences seemed to fix the problem. Also note that you can use the Esc key to exit Library Loupe view back to Grid view.
Wobertch: Everything looks the same. But if in single image view LR do not go back to Grid view if I press G
Johnrellis: Yup, this is an LR 6.2 issue, i.e. has nothing to do with my setup. I rolled back to 6.1.1 last night and everything was fine and dandy again. Will probably never update LR again. No point in changing a winning team.
