I'm new to AE and trying to fumble my way through it all!
I've successfully set up a 2.5D matte painting camera move using 3D layers and a moving camera layer to move in to the painting.
I'd like this composition to be one sequence of a larger movie, so I've dragged it in to a new composition. However, in the larger movie, it seems to be using the default Front view of the 2.5D sequence, rather than my camera layer - how do I tell it which viewpoint to use? (The animated camera isn't an option in the Composition View drop down list).
Any help appreciated - thanks!
WEll, you are trying use collapse transformations, right? Then the bad news is that this just isn't hiw it works. This feature only passes through the "geometry" layers, not the camera. Hence any such stuff will have to be done in the parent comp. Otherwise just don't use the feature and tha pre-comps will pass throught the flat result of the active camera view, in which case you need to diuble-check that, too.
Thanks. I think I got there in the end by a different means. I had turned the camera layer's visibility off, without being aware that AE just uses the topmost view in the layer stack. So turning it back on has fixed things.
Thanks for the help anyway.
