Please let us know few things.
Operating System Version
If you are using Lightroom 6/CC 2015, please follow the below steps.
Go to Lightroom Preferences from the Edit menu
Click on Performance tab
Uncheck the Graphics Processor
then, Go to General tab
Uncheck the option " Show Add photo screen"
Let us know if that helps.
it wasn't a GPU related problem.
It was a problem with this "magic" installer "Adobe Creative Cloud"
I repeated the process of installation, but at second attempt I waited longer before started Lightroom.
I waited till "Adobe Creative Cloud" downloaded some updates for Lightroom
(it's impossible for Adobe technicians to provide updated product instantly,
they want to make users spend more time
trying to get some help from other Adobe workers - goo job guys)
I am not able to uncheck the graphic processor box. Every time I do so it ends up freezing and saying not responding
My graphics accelerator box has been unchecked since the last time I had this same problem with LR freezing when copying settings in develop module. In general tab I have no "Show Add Photo screen" anywhere. Can someone please help? I use this copy setting function a lot.
Now I've check the Graphics box to try to undo it and it freezes every time.
