Files way too big. However I think I figured it out. I was supplied with multiple artboards all on one file. That’s what seems to be the problem. If I create a single file with Vector Layers and Assets I can easily generate them into SVG files for Edge Animate. Does this not work with Artboards?
I do however have another question. Is there a trick to generating type layers to SVG using the Image asset generator? I have tried converting them to shapes as well as smart objects to no avail.
it should be working with artboards; if file is too big for email, maybe you can upload it to dropbox or creative cloud and send me a link?
Can’t do it, its a proprietary file from a well known search engine.... I’ll have to rebuild a smaller one and see if it works. It may be a memory thing. For some reason the file is chewing through 80 gigs of free space as virtual memory on my laptop doing only a couple things.
Thanks for your help, I think i’ll get it it figured out though. It’s something about the file.
yes there must be something about the file; I understand that you can't send it but if you find out what is causing it, please let us know!
could you send us generator log, maybe it has some information? If you're on Mac, logs should be here

I'm having the same issue.
With a document that has an artboard, if I try to export a folder containing an image with a clipping mask, Export dialog claims that the image is empty.
If I flatten the folder, and move it the the top of the layer hierarchy it works.
However if I try delete the artboard in the very same file, the same folder with image and clipping mask exports just fine.
