"Converting data from ActionScript to Java"
here is a also a link for u.. :
Despite an asertion on someone's blog, I do not believe it is possible to make synchronous data calls in Flex. It is certainly not possible in 1.5, and unless I have missed a major change, it is not posible in 2.0 either. I am prepared to be corected, however.
Right, it's not possible.
I feel your pain -- asynchronous programming is obviously harder than
synchronous. But the reason this is necessary is that the code is running in
a browser, so it is absolutely critical that we allow the user to have full
control over his browser window. He must be able to close the browser, browse
to a different page, etc., at whim, just like he can with HTML-based pages.
To prevent this would be really obnoxious.
