Flash has pretty much been bent into an html/js tool and this forum has been bent into supporting those language features moreso than the "General" features that the forum title indicates.
What do you mean by "bent"?
there is likely not enough activity in the Flash forums any longer
Due to health issues I was actually some time inactive on this forum, but a dozen threads a day is at least a lot more than you can find on a specialized createjs forum.
I enjoyed this forum a lot, it helped me out in many ways and I tried to give sth. back.
I would be really sad to see this expertise getting lost.
I think this could fall under the Flash Ad Development section as it pertains more (IMO) to Ad dev.
my 2 cents
Given that Adobe has officially discontinued developing Edge Animate, the other app with a timeline, assigning the India team to Flash CC and the US team to Comet, I respectfully disagree and think there should be a subforum for Flash CC Canvas export that uses createJS. In both Edge Animate and Flash, in addition to a timeline, the file formats are proprietary and can't just be edited with an HTML editor.
Thank you for your feedback. The reason why we avoid creating many subforums is because we want the focus of both contributors and participants to be on the most popular forums. Most of our visitors approach us through Google, and having multiple forums can be confusing. Having said that, if we receive a substantial number of quersies on Flash CC canvas export, we will definitely consider your suggestion. We monitor forums data periodically, and any data that leads us to the same conclusion as yours will help us drive and implement the decision.
Do you have a link to the official announcement from Adobe?
Rob from Edge Hero posted this to the news regarding Edge page.

Rob Edgehero: Currently Adobe discontinued the development of Edge Animate. and has no plans for the future of Edge Animate. Meaning that it they stopped support of the program unofficially. The old team of Edge Animate USA got placed on project Comet and the India development team on Flash Pro
Bumping this, because there should be a subforum. Flash Canvas is the future, and there are many differences. And Adobe could smooth feathers by creating tutorials with example files. The Edge users who never mastered the Flash UI, need some love as they are understandably upset. Me, I'm just trying to figure out what I can't do in Canvas that I could with SWF export.
There is a reason why Greensock has relegated the old SWF output forum to obscurity to focus on HTML5
Couple of thoughts against your proposal:
This is the Flash Pro CC forum. Not sure if it will get renamed, but either way this forum ought to be about anything that Flash Pro can do. It would be fine to have a question asking tips on exporting videos, or how to export to AIR, SWF, WebGL, or Canvas.
For people like you, who want to know what cannot be done in Canvas that you can do in SWF, here would be abetter place to ask than in a forum where the people only know Canvas.
I was thinking more like what Greensock does in that they have an HTML5 GSAP forum and a Flash GSAP forum, and even Flash GSAP had AS2 and AS3 flavors.
The Flash CC SWF output has actionscript.
