Covering Text already in a Video

I have a video which I created that I had added a text box to. I now wish to use that same footage in a different video, but I don't want the text. Unfortunately, my hard drive was recently corrupted and I lost both the raw footage and the .prel file. I am using Adobe Premier Elements 9.

So what I want to know is this: How do you cover up text in a video that wasn't added in that project? If you don't understand what I am trying to say, please ask me to elaborate! Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
