Why are Adobe Programs Taxing CPU Cores when Printing?

So I'm at work and we have a pretty beefy computer.  12 cores, 12 GB RAM, and 0 troubles out of the Adobe programs...

...except when printing.  For some reason it'll say that it's only using ~34% of the computer's power, and yet it's only taxing individual cores, and only when printing.  Starting it up taxes individual cores about 10 times, and when I actually send it to the printer, it taxes them over 25 times!  It didn't start happening until about 2 weeks ago, so I'm highly curious what the issue is, or if there's even a fix.  Throwing this in the ID community since that's the main program I use.
