I'm new to Adobe After Effects, even though I've been using it for years now, I still don't have the full grasp of this powerful software.
I actually want to ask you guys for recommendation on what is the best setting should I apply for my After Effects Multiprocessing in "Memory & Multiprocessing" Panel and why should I use that settings?
On a side note, most of my outputs are only used for High Definition and not for Digital Cinema. I also make sure to use one Adobe Program as much as possible.
Here is a detail copy from the Preferences Menu at Adobe After Effects program itself.
|Installed RAM: 7.89 GB||Current RAM Usage: 0.23 GB||Allowed RAM Usage: 5.89 GB|
|Process ID||Application Name||Min Needed Memory||Max Usable Memory||Max Allowed Memory||Current Memory||Current Priority|
|5352||After Effects||0.40||7.89||5.89||0.23||1 - High|
I would appreciate your help. Would also be glad if you can contact me through my email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you in advance.
I used to have a Mac Pro with 8GB RAM. I never used multiprocessing -- I didn't have enough memory to make multiprocessing work effectively. If you can't get at least 16 GB RAM, don't even mess with multiprocessing.
Through different forums i.e. Creative COW, I have always seen your answers and they have helped me a lot. Thanks for noticing my question.
