It looks like you are running the 6.0 equivalent of LR CC 2015 (2015.0).
You need to update to 2015.1 or newer as that is where the dehaze feature was introduced.
Your link worked (required that Creative Cloud was turned off)!
(I hate CreativeCloud even more. It is totally useless!!! The only thing it's doing is to consume 50% CPU all time. Please do something Adobe!!!
It is not the first time. Last time you had a technician connected to my computer for 2 hours, and the final soultion was to offer a simple download link.)
I have just updated my copy of LR6 to 6.4, but still do not have the de-haze slider.
I have restarted the computer since I updated.
I purchased the copy of LR outright.
I'd appreciate your assistance.
The stand-alone version of Lightroom does not get the new features until version 7.0.
To get the new features early, you need the CC subscription.
Or you can download the plug-ins that allow you to bypass the Lightroom UI restrictions. :-)
Thank you for your answer. I certainly does answer my question. Is there any indication at this stage when LR7 will be available for purchase in Australia?
Adobe does not discuss release schedules. However, their track record is a new major version every 18-24 months.

I don't intend to spread or start any rumours but there is always the possibility that there may not be a Lightroom 7. So don't rely on new Cloud features appearing in the perpetually licensed version down the track.
That's not to say it won't happen but looking at recent history (and reading the Adobe tea leaves and online rumor mill with a large dose of skepticism), Adobe has bet its future on the Cloud.
