I found that help article, but it's for pre Lightroom6. All it has are download links for up to Lightroom 5, and like I said in the last paragraph of my original post, "I'm on standalone version and I have absolutely no clue how to get the standalone version download."
Unless you've discarded it, you should still have the installer for the previous version in your Downloads folder (or whatever the equivalent folder is on a Mac). Re install it. You can retrieve your serial number via your Adobe account.
I've had no success updating to LR6.3 today. Yours and other reports about problems with it make me think I'll just re-install V6.1.1 and wait for them to release an update that is less problematic.
Yep that url worked, reverting my Lightroom back to 6.2 fixed the problem. I'll hold for 6.3 and wait for 6.4 I guess... Thanks!
I have the same problem. Mac OS X 10.10.5. I did the upgrade thru CC to LR 2015.3 and now it's completely broken. It throws the same error every time I open it.
I've always done the upgrades thru CC. How does one downgrade a version in CC?
Adobe needs to improve the quality control game. This is so annoying ... broken software. Now I need to fiddle with downgrading and probably loose all my presets in the process.
I uninstalled Lightroom CC and re-installed 2015.3 thru the CC app and LR 2015.3 works now. I don't get "error occurred changing modules" anymore.
