You would need a password to open the encrypted files.
This is not possible that you could view password protected files at one device and not on the other.
It doesn't offer a means to enter the password. Just says the file is
corrupted or unable to open. But it opens fine elsewhere.
Being corrupted and encrypted are two different things.
What Android version do you use?
Version 5.02. I'm well aware they are two different things I am simply
telling you what I'm experiencing. When I open an encrypted file on my
droid it says its corrupted and won't open. When I open it anywhere else it
asks for password and then opens fine. This is an adobe/droid specific
Go to Settings > Apps > Adobe Acrobat
Under App Info, click on Clear Cache
Then try to open PDFs
Still if it is not working
Uninstall the app
Then download and install it from APK file directly.
Let me know if this works for you. Would you like to share any such PDF?
None of those options worked. Your link opens up only to a blank page no
matter what phone browser I use. Stock, chrome or dolphin.
Open the link on Google Chrome browser
Tap on Menu Icon at the top right next to address bar
Check the box for Request desktop site
I wasn't sure which version to download so I did the one that was the most
recent. It downloads but it won't open.
I finally got it installed and it still will not open up the file. However
I found out that I have another program on my phone called Drive pdf viewer
which opens it with no problem. So at least I know I have some way to open
up these files. However I am still interested in trying to get the Adobe
program to work as well.
Please read my previous message.
I'd like to jumpstart this thread again as it is now almost a year later and I am having the same exact error dj9281 is having. I have tried downloading the apk mentioned above but it still has the same exact error. The encrypted pdf does open fine in Google Drive's pdf viewer as well as Hancom office editor. However, Adobe being the inventor/parent of the pdf I feel like I should be able to use the Adobe provided Reader and be able to read the pdf normally using Adobe's software and not some 3rd party software.
