Have you tried to disable the GPU support?
> Go to Lightroom > Preferences.
> Got to Performance tab
> Disable Use Graphics Processor
> Restart the machine
> Launch Lightroom
When following your link, I have a checked box that is checked that has "Use Graphics Processor". When attempting to uncheck the box, the app crashes. The box remains checked after restarting app. It does reference the Graphics Card AMD listed above.
I have the same problem. With the version 2015.1.1 I have no problems. I can not switch off the GPU box without crash...
There must be a simple workaround! I'm a user, not a developer in any sense of the word!
i have constantly crashed when i try to access the MAP MODUL.
whenever i try to access it LR immediately crashes.
version 6.2 works fine (but has all the other bugs) so what back to 6.1???

GPU support is disabled already, because Adobes GPU support for LR is useless anyway.
i have a 980 GTX and the latest drivers installed and all i get is MORE lag than without the GPU support.... so i disabled it.
I'm using Windows 7, updated. Started LR. I was excited that it did not crash! Thought I try mapping some photos to the location where they were taken. Really nice feature. It worked! Went back to the Developer tab, and alas, crashed again! Closed app. Restarted program, attempted to process one photo. CRASHED! Tried a third time, NOT a charm!
Hopes dashed. This application is getting very expensive when I consider the amount of my time it takes to find it is not usable as described!
