May I know if you are getting the same issue if uploading the file to Document Cloud and opening it on your tab or iPad. Please login with the same Adobe ID on your laptop and mobile devices and have Mobile Link enabled on these device (laptop included). Now, when you open Adobe Acrobat on your iPad or tab you will the file which you opened on your laptop under Recent tab with Cloud icon next to it. Try to open it from there.
