It must be a bug (and a big one at that).
When I download a colorscheme, it gives me a name.ase.xml file.
But ASE files aren't XML at all!
Ok, I tried downloading a few more files.
3 of them downloaded as .ASE files that work with Photoshop and Illustrator CS2.
4 of them downloaded as .ASE.XML files that don't work.
It looks like some themes work, and some don't.
And it's reapeatable - if a theme downloads correctly, it always downloads correctly. And if it gets XML instead, then it always gets unuseable XML.
When it downloads as a .ASE file, you can just open the file in Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign CS2. In many cases you can just drag and drop it on the application.
I can't seem to open them either. The drag and drop will not work for me. Is there any other way to open these .ase files in Illustrator?
Nevermind....got it. They work when I drag them into the swatches folder and then load them in through the swatch libraries menu.
