I found a formula that seemed to work but when I click on any check box in the document it resets the value which was edited back to the original formula. This is the formula I am using.
var v = event.target.value = Math.round(( this.getField("Cash Price").value * .15)*100)/100;
I'm trying to charge 15% standard deposit but change it to 10% if certain criteria are met.
Your question is not clear. What exactly do you want to achieve? Do you mean that under certain circumstances the field will show 15% of a certain value, and under other circumstances 10%? What does that have to do with it being editable?
And your code has a lot of mistakes in it...
I want the field to show 15% of another field (Cash Price) but be editable. There are times a number will need to be manually entered in to over ride the 15% of cash price.
Right now the field consistently shows 15% upon entry of the cash price. And when I enter the over ride it stays until a check-box unrelated to these fields is clicked. Then this field reverts back to 15%
