Not that I'm aware of. You could use Bridge instead and select them in groups, add a label, then use the Place command.
Place the images on their own layer. You can later turn of the visibility of that layer.
I think Willi and I are reading your question differently. I thought you wanted to hide the images in Mini Bridge after they were placed into InDesign so that you could keep track of which ones you had placed (so you don't place the same image twice). If you want to hide them in InDesign (as Willi read the question), his suggestion is very good. Another alternative is to use the Hide shortcut (Command 3 in Mac OS) after the images are placed, but before you click away to deselect them.
I don't use Mini Bridge, so I can't help you there. If you want to use the full-version of Bridge, you can use a Move command to move the selected items to a different (temp) folder, where they won't show in your current folder. You can move them back after they have all been placed. A little bit of a kludge, but it would work.
