    Adobe Creative Cloud with WPAD

    systeembeheerv52266695

      Hello,

      We are currently using WPAD as proxy. It works fine, but Adobe Creative Cloud doesn't seem to recognize WPAD.

      The moment i manually put in the proxy server address in Internet Explorer, it works correctly.

      I already search on the internet for a solution, but without luck.

      I already tried the following:

      Added a list of Adobe servers to the firewall which causes Adobe Creative Cloud to work for a while, but it seems that de Adobe server constantly is changing.

      Is there something we can do about this?

      Thank you.

      Kind regards,

          Can you / did you check?: Proxy Support in Creative Cloud Products

          "In an enterprise environment, Creative Cloud Libraries must connect to localhost for the Libraries panel in applications to sync correctly. Therefore, if you're using Libraries, set localhost and 127.0.0.1 to bypass the proxy server for the enterprise environment. If you're using Proxy Auto-configuration (PAC) or the Web Proxy Autodiscovery Protocol (WPAD), allow direct connection to localhost and 127.0.0.1."

          Supported proxy setting types

          The following proxy configurations are supported on Mac and Windows:

          • Proxy settings using PAC URL, either with or without authentication
          • Auto Proxy Discovery (WPAD)
          • Basic authentication. If a user provides credentials in the Creative Cloud app, then Creative Cloud Libraries use the credentials. If the user does not provide credentials in the Creative Cloud app, then the Creative Cloud Libraries panel prompts the user for credentials.

            Hello,

            Where do we set these settings? I Creative Cloud there are no network of proxy options

            I assume you mean to add a rule in the WPAD file?

            Like this?

            if (dnsDomainIs(host, "127.0.0.1"))

                    return "DIRECT";

            if (dnsDomainIs(host, "localhost"))

                    return "DIRECT";

            Can you assist me with this?

            Thank you in advance.

              Seems correct to me. Check this site for an example script: The Web Proxy Autodiscovery Protocol | Linux Journal or the syntax examples in this snippets Code Snippets | FindProxyForURL check for the Local Network Matching and Host Matching syntax. 127.0.0.1 is not a domain but a local network ip right, so it should be isPlainHostName(host)

                Hello,

                Thank you! it is working fine now.

                This is what i added to the WPAD file:

                if (isPlainHostName(host) ||

                       dnsDomainIs(host, "localhost") ||

                       (host=="127.0.0.1") )

                       return "DIRECT";

                   else

                       return "PROXY ip_address:9000";

                Thanks for the help!
