Our InDesign programme was activated on a computer which has been stolen.  How do we deactivate it so it can be activated on another computer we have?

If it's a subscription, change your Adobe ID right away. Now activate it on two computers. That will deprive the other computer of it.

If it's a purchase, it is not so simple, they might have stolen your right to use the software. Contact Adobe to see if they are prepared to release it. Since they cannot block the stolen copy, they will be giving that away, in effect. That would be one for your insurers.
