After upgrading to LR CC 2015.3 a couple of days ago, having skipped 2015.2 because of the import issue, LR now becomes unresponsive when going from the Library module to the Develop module. If I uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" in the Preferences, then everything is okay.
I am not running a version of the driver in my AMD Radeon HD 7870 Graphics card that Adobe says is unsupported ( https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html ). I am running the latest driver.
Adobe needs to:
a) Fix LR to accept this widely used Graphics card running the newest driver.
and in the meantime
b) Put this driver version on the list of unsupported drivers.
See my system configuration below.
Lightroom version: CC 2015.3 [ 1052427 ]
Operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
CPU: Intel i7 950 running at 3 Ghz
RAM: 12 GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7870 - driver version 15.200.1062.1004
System disk: 240GB SSD (Intel SS DSC2CT240A4)
Ernie has already unchecked it, Tanuj - I think he wants to know why he should have to, in order for Lr to work acceptably.
Exactly, Keith. Before upgrading to CC2015.3 I had the "Use Graphics Processor" checked, and it worked impeccably.
