you could try position:fixed?
Thanks for getting back, are you talking about in Edge animate or in Dreamweaver?
Hang on I think I have found something, I will get back. cheers
place this is composition ready
that will throw it out of the responsive scaling.
Is that the effect you're after?
sorry jhtmk for my ignorance, but where do I place this code?
on the panel on the top right click the brackets next to Stage > select creationComplete or compositionReady (either should work) from the dropdown list and paste it in.
change "your_sumbol" to the element or symbol you want fixed (keeping the name within the quotes)
It definitely did something! However now it is massive and doesn't move at all. It seems to be relevant
to the position and size of the browser instead of the stage now, which makes it too big
and actually "outside" of the stage. Thanks for the help, if I'm getting annoying just let me know,
What i was hoping was to have the position relative to the scaling but the size not to scale past
a certain width, height value whilst the rest of the comp continues to scale down. Sorry I think my
first post said to not have it scale down at all. What I meant was to have it scaled down but only to
a certain value. I have a mobile phone as a navigation menu and on tablet devices
it is going to be to small for it to work.
ok for what you are wanting, would it be easier to set a media query for the screen width and have 2 seperate symbols (2 versions of the same menu)
show the first symbol by default but if screen width is below xxx then hide that symbol and show the other symbol?
Hmmm. I will give this a go. Thanks again. I thought it would be as easy as setting a min width on the symbol stage, but that isn't working.
I will let you know how it goes, probably be tomorrow as I have other things to finish as well! I really appreciate the help
ok let me know if you need help with trying a media query instead
