After a lot of effort to subtitle a film in Premiere Pro, and the need to render via After Effects, I was surprised that all titles block the screen with a black colour, it seems they are understood by AE as being titles but solids that have black colour.
Any way I can make AE understand these are titles? or make them look like title instead of blocking my screen with black?
Nope. The titles are unique to Premiere. Other than rendering everything in Premiere there is no way to get them across.
It is true - Premiere titles don't render in Ae. It will take a bit of effort, but here is a workaround that should work:
1. Right click on your title in the Premiere Pro project widow and select "Open in source monitor"
2. In the Source Monitor window, drag the Video Clip Icon to your project window. This will create a transparent clip.
3. With the new clip selected in your project window, right click on the original title in the Premiere timeline, and select Replace with Clip -> From Bin.
4. Repeat this for each title you have in your Pr timeline.
Now you should be able to render in Ae.
