I have a membership, but after uploading photos, LR is telling me the "original file is missing" and that I need a membership to edit etc. I can verify I have a membership...I even tried to buy another just in case something was wrong, but I can't because I have one.
Need help! I have thousands of pics from a recent trip to deal with and using LR is very new to me.

May I know the source of the original files?
Have you stored them locally on your computer or any external drive or sync them via Lightroom Mobile?
Do you see the image preview in the develop Module?
Your images are not "in" Lightroom. They are on your hard drive just like all your other data files. LR just references them by file name and path.
Files are "missing" because they are no longer on your hard drive at the location they were in when you imported them into LR's catalog. This suggests that you moved or deleted them using Finder/Explorer.
Mac or Windows? What version?
From the LR About dialog, what exact version of Lightroom are you using (x.y.z)?
