I have InDesign CS5.5 and I am unable to open the programme or any InDesign files and keep getting an error message saying "Adobe InDesign does not recognise SCRIPTING.RPLN as a valid plug-in. Please reinstall the SCRIPTING.RPLN plug-in and restart InDesign".
I don't know how to reinstall plug-ins, does anyone have any advice or guidance on how to reinstall SCRIPTING.RPLN?
Run the CS5.5 installer again and pick Repair if that's an option
Thank you for your help! Do you know where the installer normally saves? I've been looking through the InDesign folder and it's not entirely obvious which file is the installer
It should be named Setup.exe, but it won't be in the program folder. You either have a disk, or a downloaded installer (that you hopefully saved to a convenient location) or you'll need to download the installer again.
