I have a graphics team. We work on videos, photos, and graphics of all kinds. Right now, everyone has to remote into my Imac to work on projects. Which is quite problematic. I am looking to build a server to store everything. I was thinking everyone could work from there. An adobe chat agent didnt recommend that. She felt I should work locally and upload to the server. That, however, becomes a time waste when we are working on large video say. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do?
I would appreciate anything.
The specifics depend on the program. Illustrator is quite sensitive when working directly off servers, other programs not so much. The rest is too vague. A video server has different requirements from a mere file server in terms of performance, both on its storage and network connection just like the actual size of the team and the number of people accessing the server, file sizes and so on matter a lot.
