If you don't want your images in collections, simply delete the collections. The images will still be in Lightroom. You'll just have to view them in their folders. It would seem that you need to understand collections, what they are for and how to create them properly.
Jim, the thing is I don’t know how they are ending up there. They always go into a folder that I import from my external hard drive. I probably clicked on something I shouldn’t have
and it changed everything. Damned if I know.
Apologies for the trouble.
Past month, recently modified are the smart collections which are automatically created.
If you want to view those images in folders, right click or command click on any of those images in collections and choose "go to folder in Library"
This should highlight the folder where the images are stored in the Library module. This will let you know where your images are saved on your hard drive.
If you want this to be highlighted as the exact location on your finder / file explorer, right click or command click on any of the image and choose "Show in Explorer/finder"
I just want someone to speak to and walk me through this. I am done chatting in a forum as it has got me nowhere.
you will receive call back today at the scheduled time to get your issue fixed.
