I dont quite know how to explain this so here goes:
I created a scene with maya and rendered it into an AVI, I imported the AVI to after effects to add some sounds and extra images, but in after effects, the AVI glitches and so I get the residual images of previous frames while it plays, even after rendering in after effects.
Screenshot so that you can understand.
How can I fix this?
The original AVI (outside after effects) does not have this glitch.
What codec is your AVI encoded with?
What, exact, version number of AE are you using?
The standard Microsoft 1 codec from maya's renderer.
CS6 is version number 11.x.x
Are you on version 11.0.4 or something else?
Try a different codec. Or, ideally, try an image sequence instead. I almost exclusively render image sequences out of 3d programs and I don't know of anybody who doesn't.
