Could you please uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" from Preferences>>Performance
Check if the Brush tool is working any better
If still the same reset Lightroom Preferences after backing up your Catalog
Let us know if that helps
Thank you it worked mikeKnevelbaard <Personal info removed by Mod>
Thanks for the update
Glad to know it is working
thank you so much for the quick reply
Could someone please enlighten me as to why turning off the "Use Graphics Processor" works better than having it turned on? My iMac 5K has:
4 GHz Intel Core i7
40 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB
Should be more than capable to handle anything really...
Thanks, but that link does not help. I have been referred to it numerous times, and even after following the instructions, nothing helps
Listen, I'm a real estate photographer, I edit on average 70 photos per day 6 days a week, and I use the brush on every single photo. If the delay is 15 seconds for the brush to populate its information on the photo, I'm losing 1 min, for every 4 photos. That's 17 min of idle time per day, that's 105 min per week, that's 420 min per month... that's SEVEN HOURS.. that's a full work day that I'm sitting there every month just watching the screen waiting for the brush to load... That's potentially $500+ dollar I'm losing per month!
Please... for the sake of my sanity, fix this problem... What do you need from me? What information can I provide Adobe about my system to expedite this stupid little bug that wasn't there 4 months ago. Hell, my MacBook Pro doesn't struggle like my decked out 5K iMac and it has half the power, a fraction of the ram and I DONT EVEN HAVE TO PLUG IT IN......
I'm not mad, I promise, this is my livelihood, and I appreciate the work that Adobe does in improving their software to help us streamline our work; but I am extremely frustrated at this stupid little thing.
