I'm trying to get a scale bar into an inDesign document with a transparent background.
When I remove the white background (color select delete or blending options) image still
comes into inDesign with white background.
I also tried changing the file extension
- saved it as an eps file
- a gif file for web with transparency checked. Flattened it first then tried without flattening.
I looked for a transparency option when saving as a tiff file - no such option.
I know there's got to be a simple solution.
I'm working on mac OS X
Save it as PSD (I assume you’re using Photoshop) and place that in InDesign.
The image comes in with a white background when saved as psd
In Photoshop, rename the background layer and remove the white background, then save without flattening.
Thank you Peter! Background gone!
