Try File > Open Recent.
Do you want to import the previous catalog in the new catalog or do you want to know how to open the previous catalog?
Also, which version of Lightroom are you using?
Which operating system are you using?
I have MAC OS X and using Lightroom 5.
I didn't necessarily want to import the previous into the new.
I would like to keep the previous as its own main catalogue.

In order to open the previous catalog, please click on File > Recent.
Select the catalog you want to open.
You may also navigate to the location of the catalog and make a double click on .LRCAT file to open any catalog.
Hope this helps.
Thank you all for your help thus far. I should have mentioned that I've already went to File-Open Recent but all I see is the new catalogue. Is there another way to retrieve that previous catalogue BESIDES "FILE-OPEN RECENT"? I hope is in "cyber space" and someone has the knowhow to reach up and grab it back.
You use your operating system's search feature to search for all files whose name ends with .LRCAT. Then you double-click on each one found to open them.
Dj has provided you correct suggestion.
Also, by default catalog is saved in Pictures folder of your computer.
You may also use the name of the catalog as a search string.
If you are using any external hard drive, please do perform the search in there as well using .LRCAT or the catalog name.
