using Macbook Pro's and iMovie (so far) to edit/work my videos, I purchased the WD Mycloud EX2 to store my movies externally.
Unfortunately, this drive has a proprietary filesystem (not Mac, not Windows...but based on SAMBA, see http://support.wdc.com/KnowledgeBase/answer.aspx?ID=1391) and iMovie does not recognize the drive (caution sign is appearing).
Now I am considering buying a good but simple software (Ad. Premiere Elements 14).
Question: can I store in Adobe Premiere Elements 14 movies on the WD Mycloud EX2 drive (network attached storage, connected to the router!).
Thanks if anyone already has experience with that kind of setup.
OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 (MacBook Pro, 2015)

I am strictly an Elements Windows user (principally Premiere Elements), and I do not work with Network storage for my Elements projects.
All that being said, please check out the following Adobe document on networks and removable media with digital video
