In Lightroom, if you go to file->open, can you locate your old catalogs and try to open them that way? Have you done that? If you have, what happened when you tried?
Thanks for the response Jim.
Yes ! I have tried it. Here's the path I took: File > Open Cat > point it tot he old Lightroom folder. I can see : 1.June2015Previews.lrdata (folder) 2. June2015SmartPreviews.lrdata (folder) & 3. June2015 (flat file).
Even if I open any of these folders, there are many subfolders. If don't think I would need to link one by one.
Usually, if we 'export' a catalogue, then it creates only one folder. It's not the case this time.
Any other option?
You are looking for .LRCAT files, not folders or subfolders.
If you can't find the proper .LRCAT file that way, use your operating system's search feature to search all of your hard disks for .LRCAT files, then double-click on each one found until you find the proper catalog.
I took the path suggested by you .. and could recover all my work.I realized, it did not show up automatically, but once I used the Open Cat option and pointed the location to the .lrcat filed, it opened up.
So I opened all my catalogs by that way .. and I am back on track now.
Thank you so much !! Really appreciate your help. It did save so much of my time.
