What happened between when it was working and now? What is the EXACT error message? Are you using File > Open... (or Open Recent), or double-clicking a file icon?
So the exact wording is:
"Windows as encountered a problem with the program/programs you are trying to open."
Then it thinks for a couple of seconds before saying:
"Windows has encountered a problem when a solution is found we will notify you."
Then the only thing you can do is click close and it disappears, along with the file I want to open (which never gets past the InDesign loading box phase).
Between it working this morning and then not all I did was finish some work. send it to work then try and reopen it afterwards but it never did. I never put my laptop on sleep or anything.
It is using windows and its the most up-to-date indesgin format, I updated on Friday.
Have you tried a re-boot?
What version of Windows?
Does ID itself open, and the error happens when using File > Open or File > Open Recent, or are you trying to open the application and the file concurrently?
