I have a document that has had another Indesign document placed within it as a graphic. All the links have been deleted from the document but the Indesign document is still visible in the Links panel and shows as missing even though it doesn't appear anywhere in the document. How can I remove it?
I have also seen something similar happen with linked Excel documents, where the file is no longer in use but stays linked. Any ideas?
Try saving your document as an IDML file and reopen in InDesign. The same thing can happen with "phantom" fonts.
Thanks Steve, I'll try this. This seems to be a long standing bug though, I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed.
