    Graduated Filter Blending Mode

    AudioVisualServices

I am applying a -2.00 exposure on the Graduated Filter tool in Camera Raw, and the it looks like the blending mode is set to Darker or Multiply instead of Normal.  The dark areas fall off in to a black mess instead of just getting gradually darker.  Does anyone know why this is happening?  I am using a new install of CC.

The adjustments that you program into the gradual filter have the greatest effect at the beginning of your selection and gradually decrease throughout the area covered by the gradual filter. If you have areas that are too dark you can use a brush which is selectable from within the gradual filter panel to erase or lighten the effect in specific areas.

As illustrated here, the brush with the "-" is selected which means the brush will remove the effect from the brushed area. You can set the flow so that as you brush it only partially removes the effect.
