What version of InDesign you are using, please update to latest version from Creative Cloud app.
Also try deleting your preferences Troubleshooting 101: Replace, or "trash" your InDesign preferences
Seems like some corruption has happened while installation of the product. Can you please try uninstalling and re-installing the same.
Also, try cleaning your preferences and caches before installing again.
For cleaning prefs delete any folder(if present) @ C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\InDesign\Version 11.0
and @ C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\InDesign\Version 11.0

InDesign CC 2015 and yes I have tried deleting those as well. Thank you.
I have had the product for a few months now and have had no issues until now. I have it uninstalled and it has been reinstalling for the past hour, it is almost complete.
