I have Lightroom 4 on my pc but recently I needed to have it repaired and a virus removed. My technician removed all program files from my computer and I cannot properly reinstate my previous version.

When I search through my programs, I note that there are some Lightroom files on the pc but I cannot open them-they have the lrcat file extension. I can find the 'Backup' folders under all the different dates but again when I click to open any of them, they all have this file extension. I am reluctant to download a program from the internet to access such files as I fear I may again be opening the possibility of another virus intrusion.

I don't know who is 'reliable'/safe and wonder if Adobe can send me a safe file to restore everything like before. ( I have no intention to revisit my technician for obvious reasons.)
