I have a 5 page spread and have not inserted the pages that will be the first page or the actual cover of the economic development folder. The back side of the cover will contain a pocket to add additional marketing materials into. It will also include a slot for a business card. How do I add this into my spread?
Folders with pockets are a specialty item and need to be die-cut. Most likely the company doing the folder conversion (that's the term for making the printed paper blanks into the actual folders) will have templates for you to use. Otherwise, I would recommend doing the folder itself as a separate file from anything that goes inside it, and it should be set up as one page large enough to hold front and back panels and all flaps that will be folded in to make the pockets. Don't forget the glue tabs.
It's really important to discuss this sort of project with the printer before you get too deep into it.
