Be sure to put your feedback on the prerelease forum for this patch.
Hello as the post have been divided, I repeat what I said somewhere else, I agree too, there is a huge delay before earing audio. About 2 sec. The new preview is not stable, it need more than 1 pass to play in real time for complex comp.
i have sent a bug report, because i can't send bug report from beta program.
i put it here to have return of community :
i'm testing the patch 188.8.131.52 of after effects.
Some things to tell :
- previewing is not really good.
Even if the pre render ram is done, for big comps, after has quite some difficulties to play in real time.
it need some times 2 or 3 plays loop to play at real time, some times it never manage.
- audio preview in the same time of video, has a huge delay before playing.
moste of time, it need more than 2 seconds to can hear the sound. and the preview is not perfect, with lots of scratches.
very annoying for motion design.
- dynamic link with media enc seems to not work, most of time, well i don't remeber it worked once.
i precise i have a quite good computer, and never had thoses problem with cc 2014.
cc 2015 had lots of bugs, and this one more...
hope you will make bugs to priority, i like new features, like new panels etc, but i'd like to work well first.
Thanks for sharing.
I'll run through that issue list and test myself.
Again, I have to say that I don't understand why Adobe is releasing a bug fix update for AE and it is again our job to test old issues and report new issues that come with that update. Is there no basic routine that tests all relevant features and issues fields? I incline to the feeling that Adobes quality management is not really approved as I see testing AE after a release fix as an standard process.
13.6.1 release may solve some problems (I don't know) but for the moment I can't get the "ram preview" to play the simplest comp in real time... It's really really a shame.
I have the latest iMac 27, (Intel i7 4GHz, 32GB of ram, AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096MB) but maybe it's not enough?!
