I'm pretty new to AE so I'm hoping this is a quick fix, but whenever I change my workspace from essentials to effects or do anything not in a smooth motion (such as import a file via dragging it into AE quickly) I get an infinite loading mouse and it stops responding. I have tried pressing caps lock when this occurrs, to no avail. I have an intel i7-5700HQ CPU @ 2.70 GHz with 12gb ram on windows 10, so I don't think it's simply my system not handling it. I am not sure what version of AE CC I am running, but I know it's completely up to date. Any response would be appreciated!
I should also note After Effects is the only thing freezing, other programs can run perfectly whilst AE is frozen. It is not a system-wide freeze.
Well, in so many words: CC 2015 is garbage even after the alleged bugfix updates. Get rid of it by uninstalling, then CC 2014 will appear in th CC app under "Previous versions" for your install pleasure.
do 2015 projects work with 2014, I know Premiere Pro cant go back, maybe an xml export but still, not perfect
AE CC 2014 can open projects created in AE CC 2015 with no issues.
