I am in the process of having a custom portfolio book made (size 9 1/4" x 12"). I will be doing the printing for the portfolio (Canon Pixma Pro 1), and then sending the prints to the builder for trimming/insertion into the book. I've been instructed to have a binding area allowance of 1" on the left margin. The actual image printable area thus becomes 8 1/4" x 12" per page in the book. I will be printing the images on a 13" x 19" paper stock.
How do I setup a printing template in Lightroom, for the print area (8 1/4" x 12"), centered, on the 13 x 19 paper, with cropping marks (for trimming)? Not all images will fill the printable area, (managed by cell size). I have not been able to figure out how to so lock in place, the printable area on the paper size. I appreciate and help and guidance in accomplishing my template objective.
Crop Marks are located in the Page panel under the Page Options settings.
In Layout Style, start with a single image contact sheet. Here is a sample Layout of the single cell that should fulfill your needs. The 8.25 x 12 image would be located 1" from the left edge of the paper so only 3 sides need to be trimmed. Print Crop Marks as given by Rikk-Flohr above.
