A single photo in Flickr can be used in multiple albums. If I post a photo through Lightroom to Flickr in multiple collections (to be used in Flickr albums), the Flickr albums are correct, however the Flickr photostream shows each photo multiple times, one for each collection. How can I indicate to flickr that there is only one photo in the photostream used in multiple albums (the collections are subsets of the photostream)? Right now I post only to the photostream collection and place the photo in albums directly in Flickr separately to avoid the problem. I'd rather do all my organizing and control from Lightroom. Thanks for any help you can provide.
This third-party Flickr plugin will upload only a single copy of a photo that appears in multiple publish collections. The plugin is a little more complicated to use, since it offers many more features than the builtin plugin. But the author has an excellent reputation and maintains his publishing plugins much better than Adobe maintains the builtin ones.
You can quickly verify whether a photo is shared among Flickr albums. In Flickr, click on the photo and then scroll down, and it will show you in which albums the photo appears.
Thank you for your response. I will give it a try.
